White Christmas: The Aftermath

Man digging out after Christmas was really rough. Sure it helps that my landlord bought a bobcat with a plow attachment, and he does the driveway plowing with it. But those 5 minutes of shovelling off the front stoop and the walkway from the door to the driveway were exhausting.

I'd have a snowman in the yard, except the snow we get here is generally too fine and powdery to build snowmen, and luckily for Karen too powdery for even snowballs.

all we need now is a roaring fire

So here is a shot of our tree from inside. Sorry no fireplace to complete the greetingcard composition. Posted by Picasa

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Chirstmas tree

You are the only thing not blurry.
We went out and purchased a nice plastic re-usable tree so we can finally have a place to hang all the ornaments. And by the way, as you can probably tell, it's snowing. Posted by Picasa

Bad aurora pictures, Take 1

So we don't have a tripod, or one of those fancy shutter release cables, (yet...) but to give you a bad idea of what the aurora look like...

They're not quite this green either, they're more minty.

(the white fuzz you see is a star that is moving around because it is a long exposure and I'm shivering as I hold the camera) Posted by Picasa
